That's expected. All it does is stop ReadyDLNA, delete the DLNA database then restart ReadyDLNA forcing the database to be rebuilt. If you download the logs you should see in upnp-av.log that the database has been rebuilt.
The ReadyDLNA update add-on updates ReadyDLNA and the Toggle Debug add-on toggles on/off debug mode for ReadyDLNA with more verbose logging. Neither of these add-ons require a web interface either.
