hi mdgm, if i did a secure erase it was not intentional!
Out of frustration I did hit the erase option in the setup wizard when i was last trying to set this up (a couple of weeks ago). The erase started but in the end I had to shut the NAS down without letting it finish. There was no option or chance to start a 'secure erase' though.
I had also tried the factory reset option previously is there a chance this could have led to the secure erase?
Basically it seems to be in some kind of loop, in that every time i restart it asks me to set the device up and it wipes whatever is on the disk.
How do I go about unlocking the disks??? I would have thought the factory default did that?
