DuoNas Upgrade of NAS

Im new to this sort of thing and I have looked around but cant seem to find an exact solution and hopefuly one that doesnt take days on end and then to have it fail.

What I do is set up rsync back up jobs on the receiving NAS for each share, and then run those one at a time. That is more reliable than doing the backup through a PC (and often is faster).
Before you do that, you should create the same user accounts and groups on the new NAS that you created on the old one. Match the UIDs and GIDs (numeric identifiers associated with each account and group).

Before you do that, you might want to look at the threads on upgrading your Pro6 to OS6. While that is officially unsupported by Netgear, it seems your Pro was purchased used and is unsupported, anyway.
