DuoV2 - change Raid type

Hello,

i have a problem to change Raid type on my NAS to have one volume per disk (like in windows).

Readynas duo v2 // RAIDiator 5.3.13 // RAIDar 6.3 // HDD 1To and 4To

I performed factory reset by reset button and choose HDD led 1 lit:

- change Raid type to Flex-Raid with raid 0 => Reboot => HDD stay in raid 1 and resync with 1To

- change Raid type to Flex-Raid with Jbod => Reboot => HDD stay in raid 1 and resync with 1To

OS Reinstall stay in RAIDiator 5.3.13 and Raid 1 on disk.

What i miss ?

Thx for your answears

  • Have you tried connecting Raidar during the first 10 minutes after initialisation and select the raid type from there?

I don't believe you can have two separate volumes with Duo v2, you always get one volume. So with 1TB + 4TB you can achieve 2TB storage capacity, and 3TB unused (I think). You can check with the online raid capacity checker.

You should see the option to select the desired raid configuration. Let us know.
