"ERR: Could not find internal fla"
ReadyNAS was working seemingly normally, however a backup job was failing stating that an external USB drive was "readonly". This drive is one of a pair I use to back up important files, the other of...

Updates:
Found instructions online for "USB recovery". Found USB recovery image for x86 ReadyNAS (mine is a Pro Business), latest version I could find created a 4.2.15 recovery image. I installed this onto a USB key and attempted recovery. The ReadyNAS will boot to this drive and run on RAIDiator v4.2.15.
Once it was back up on v4.2.15, I attempted to do a remote update. The update tool said the latest was v4.2.20, but updating does not work - when I choose to update, it fails with an error. I then downloaded v4.2.21 and tried a local update. The local update tool verifies the image, but when I try to actually load the image, RAIDiator says it cannot be found - even though it is sitting on my hard disk. I then found v4.2.22 and tried local update. This appeared to work - the update verified and then completed and RAIDiator told me to reboot the NAS. I did so - and now I'm back to "ERR: Could not find internal fla".
Oh so fun to spend hours with such things. Especially at tax prep time. Any suggestions on how to recover my internal flash and get a copy of the latest version of RAIDiator on it?
Thanks,
H.
