Error connecting to. Win 7 starter issues ?
Is there a bug in the front view software? There are so many threads with people being unable to get the test connection to work and just being left wih error connecting to. Its obviously not just...

So, I'd just posted a similar issue, then, thought about the solution and it works for me. You have to actually create a share on your Windows machine in order for Frontview to use it properly (at least in my case) rather than using a drive letter.
In Windows, create the shared folder. In Frontview, enter your host then for the path enter: "myshare/myfolder". Once I did that, it connected and would allow backups. If you're using a drive letter, it's going to fail because it's not using enough "/" before the host. If you enter one manually and test, it will work but once you click "Apply" Frontview will automatically drop the extra "/" causing it to fail again.
BTW, I'm on Windows 7 x64 with a ReadyNAS NV+
