Error in tasks for backup button
Hello Community,
I get for some time, in the readycloud iphone app daily warning messages from my ReadyNas 516. Current firmware version is 6.10.8.
I get the following message: "Error in tasks for backup button"
Direct technical support is not possible due to the purchase date, so I hope to get appropriate help here.
Best thanks and greetings

That would seem to indicate that somebody is pressing the backup button, and you either have no tasks assigned to it or one of the backup jobs configured for it has become obsolete (like by removing a share) but the job somehow wasn't removed (as it should be when you delete a share).
Have you checked the log for more details?

Thank you for your feedback. Can assure that nobody presses the backup button. The room ist closed and nobody has access.
Will check the backup tasks again.

There is no task assigned to the backup button

Just checked the logfiles. There were two errors two days ago, backup mistake due to usb hdd without access to the files. Restarting the nas solved the problem. Not sure if this relates top the recent backup button problem.

Did you have any backups tied to the backup button? If so, I think that will stop the messages. But whether your button is really being pressed, or worse, the hardware thinks it is when it's not, will be determined by whether or not a backup now takes place based on that "button push".

Just an idea: could the problem be related to temporary created antivirus files ?

I see the same weird nonlogical error. Think is a bug, broken since last/prelast firmware.
This error comes always when try to use/access/configure ssh-keys or certificates.
- Useraccount import ssh key
- Backup tasks with rsync ssh
- ReadyDR configuration

another bug: when have a share named "data".
A rsync task to other location or device comes in conflict with (the btrfs root volume) /data and /data/data
another bug: delete a file in the fileexplorer
The file will be deleted but the notification don't close - hangs forever. A click on the cross make undo, undelete it.

FWIW, I recommend not doing this anyway, as it will disrupt SMB access with admin credentials (since both the share and the volume have the same name).

I am not seeing this.
