Error message when deleting sparsebundle in terminal

Deleting usually is fairly fast. If you cancel the deleting (ctrl+C) you can do a
"du -csh (then type the full name of the sparse bundle)"
Are you sure the sparsebundle is not in use?
Have you tried rebooting the NAS then attempting to delete the sparsebundle again?
