From your descripotion, I assume you are still running OS 4.2.x. That only supports SMB1, whihc is diosabled by default in Win10. I'm losing you a bit in your description of the sequence, but I think that you may need to enable SMB1. RAIDar uses another method to find the NAS, so it would still work.
If you do end up having to start over, you may want to consider updating to OS6.

Can you try to ping the NAS after you get this message?
Have you tried browsing to https://192.168.0.68/admin ?
Sometimes a NAS will be unreachable briefly while it is formatting the disk(s). That shouldn't last very long with only one disk installed (unless that disk isn't healthy).
