External HTTP access to ReadyNAS from CG3000v2

Hi,

Attempting to follow the instructions to host a website...

http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/24829/~/readynas-os-6%3A-create-a-personal-webserver?cid=wmt_netgear_organic

get to step for forward external HTTP access to readyNAS

I have the port forwarded correctly on the router, but I cant load the index page from outside my local network.

any suggestions please?

Thanks

  • What NAS are you using, and what firmware is it running?

Are you using HTTP or HTTPS when you access remotely?  Have you checked that the port is open (your ISP might be blocking it).

      ReadyNAS 102, firmware 6.6.0

      Using HTTP.

Have found that ISP is blocking the port.  Have forwarded an alternative port from external to port 80 on internal.  Then use [ipaddress]:externalport.  Works fine.

      Thanks StehpenB
