File access issues
Hi, We could really do with some help with this one. Let me explain our setup first... Basically we have a ReadyNAS unit that holds our development files (Visual Basic & Visual C++). If we use o...
I think this issue is related to the permission deployed on the share.
Try to do the following
1. go to the Share listing
2. open the Click the CIFS icon for your share and scroll down to the Advanced CIFS Permission
enable the two option "Automatically set permissions on new files and folders" and "Do not allow ACL changes to be more restrictive than this."
3. Make sure the read/write permission is correct. This is based on the user and group membership that you created.
Group rights: Read/Write
Everyone rights: Read/write
4.Lastly, reset the file permission for this on this share from th. "Advanced Share Permission" please check the "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings. This option is useful in cases where you are changing security levels and need to workaround file access problems."
