Files on ReadyNAS read only after saving

One of my users seems to constantly have problems with saving or editing then re-saving files on the NAS (ours is an Ultran 2 Plus)....
I want to use our NAS as if it were another HD located on my three user's computers. I want them to be able to create, read, write, edit, copy over an existing file with the same name and so forth, easily and transparently.
The only way I was able to deal with this problem for one user was to log them is as the NAS administrator, then she can do whatever she wants, but she woiuld prefer to only see the Shares on the NAS not the c: and admin shares, etc.
