Hello,
I've been following this issue, but didn't speak up since I didn't have much to contribute and I'm using the firmware on unsupported hardware (ReadyNAS Pro 6). After upgrading to 6.2.1 I was having the same LAN instability and router crash issues. I tested the fix and can confirm that when I disabled IP6 on my router (FritxBox 7390) the LAN issues went away. I then installed the 6.2.2RC1 firmware, re-enabled IP6 on the router and the problem did not come back. So far the fix seems to work.
I was lucky in that I wanted to factory reset the NAS anyway before doing some final configuration changes.
