I have been in contact with support for this issue and others. No resolution...
This latest firmware update breaking the ADS connection is the last straw for me with Netgear. The 6.5.0 update was supposed to fix the Anti-Virus scanner issue that caused the ReadyNAS units to respond extremly slowly if it all. Instead, it created an even bigger problem across my network where users could no longer access any of their data.
This has been ongoing for two weeks now with no resolution.
That's unaccecptable!
I have migrated my data to other servers and purchased two new rackmount NAS. My Netgear 3130's are sitting on the floor waiting for the next trash pickup.

I have tried all of the above suggetions and none of them have worked. The unit will no longer sync ADS informaton, my AD users and groups are no longer associated with shared folders, users unable to access their data.
I was able to regain access by changing the authenticaion from Active Directory to Local Users. I changed permissions on the shares to allow anonymous access and everyone full control. Currently I am in the process of copying my data off the unit to another server.
As soon as this process is completed I'm shutting my ReadyNAS 3130 down and removing it from my server rack.
I was never given a case number for this particular issue... I do have an open case for a different problem, been waiting all day for a response to continue troubleshooting. It's currently 7:50PM on the East Coast of the US and my last contact with support at 8AM Eastern Time.

Hi Steve,
The agent handling your case was online well after his normal hours when it was 8am your time. He has since connected to your system. - balstonMay 27, 2016Aspirant
I'm in the same boat you are. I just now discovered the problem. There is also the new "ADS ID" line with Import/Export. Have never seen this one before, so not sure what I should be trying to import. As to Export, when I do one of those, the resulting text file is comprised of UID SIDs. No usernames.
I've also tried what was suggested to no avail. As I don't have a place (yet) to move all of my data, and considering my ReadyNAS is set to be used specifically with Egnyte only, if this isn't resolved by beginning of business May 31, I believe I'll be swapping to a Synology box now that they're good to go with Egnyte. I'm fortunate that my users can still get their data via Egnyte's cloud. I'm not quite ready to give Everyone full permissions on Anonymous access.
I'll create my ticket tomorrow morning as it's late on the West Coast and I actually have a life I'd like to be a part of. Sincerely hope Egnyte can get this together quickly.
ReadyNAS 3220 recently updated to FW 6.50
