First time user: ReadyNAS102 Status Degraded, what should I do?
Hi, I have a ReadyNAS 102, recently it's showing Status Degraded, however I'm not quite sure how I should fix the issue.
Simply swapout Disk 1 with the same model of hard-drive?
Thank yo...

The way to replace a disk is to hot-swap it - remove the old one with the system running, and then insert the replacement.
Though you might want to power down the system, and test disk 1 in a windows PC using Seatools. You can connect the disk with either SATA or a USB adapter/dock. If the disk fails, then power up the NAS with the slot empty, and hot-insert the replacement drive.
One caution - your data is at risk. If you don't have a backup (or if it is out of date), you should take care of that first.
