From 2x2TB and 2x1TB to 4x2TB: Only 4625GB available
Hi,
I expand my ReadyNAS NVX (RAIDiator 4.2.24) from 2x1TB and 2x1TB to now 4x2TB (X-Raid2)
So now i Use 4x 2TB Harddrives with each 1863GB. But I got the info, that only 4625 GB are available.
What's wrong? Around 900GB were missing ...
I disabled SnapShots some years ago. For TimeMachine 1500GB are reserved.
Thanks for help

- mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredUnder Volumes in Frontview is the volume status "redundant" or is still syncing.
If the volume status is redundant, can you try rebooting the NAS? Wait 5-10 minutes and if expansion hasn't started reboot again - Dr_T_AspirantResyc, restriping finalized. I already rebooted the system.
Here are the df results:
thomas@TT-NAS-VX:~$ df -h
Filesystem Size Used Avail Use% Mounted on
/dev/md0 4,0G 1,2G 2,7G 30% /
tmpfs 16K 0 16K 0% /USB
/dev/c/c 4,6T 3,5T 1,1T 76% /c
/c/ftp1 4,6T 3,5T 1,1T 76% /home/ftp/ftp1
Perhaps this could help?
Best, Dr.T. - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredTry a second reboot if you haven't already. A few reboots can be needed for expansion to take place.
- Dr_T_AspirantI did already!
- Dr_T_AspirantI have an open terminal ... but I don't know the needed commands to show the configuration.

thomas@TT-NAS-VX:~$ - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredCan you try removing disk 1, wait for Frontview to alert you that the disk is dead then add it again all while the NAS is on?
- Dr_T_AspirantAt this moment I am not near by the NAS. But this evening (in 8 hours) I can do so. Why do you think, this could help? Have you seen something in my data?
Thanks,
Thomas - mdgm-ntgrNETGEAR Employee RetiredOutput of the first command shows md3 is only using three of your disks. Disk 1 (/dev/sda) is the one that isn't bring used by md3. That's why you haven't got some of the vertical expansion you were expecting.
