Frozen NAS, RAIDar says "not present"
My oldest unit is a RND4000. All the lights are green (although the status screen at the bottom stays lit). http://imgur.com/ZIpjmzD&XlRsnOS However when you look at it in RAIDar, everything...

Did you solve your problem? I am asking as I have a similar, if not the same, problem as of yesterday. The front panel of my ReadyNAS NV+ looks exactly the same as the picture you posted. And, when I look at the NAS with RAIDar, I have the same status ('Not present'). The only difference is that I am on firmware version 4.01c1-p1.
Problems started when I accessed one of the mounted share drives from a windows machine. The window for the share drive open and then disappeared. After that I could not access the shares from windows explorer or via a browser (http://192.168.1.150/admin). I shut off the NAS and turned it back on. The NAS was working hard and I received a status email entitled 'RAID event detected (rn1)' with the following in the body of the email.
RAID sync started on volume C.

Later the operation completed and I received an email entitled 'RAID event detected (rn1)' with the following content in the body of the email.
RAID sync finished on volume C. The volume is now fully redundant.

After I could still not access the NAS. The front panel remained the same and the status on RAIDar remained the same. Shut down the NAS and re-started, no change. (Note that the LCD on the front panel continued to display its 'Shutting down...' message even after the NAS shut down.)
Any suggestions?
