FW Upgrade to 6.1.7 & New HDD Disks RN 104
Hello,
I upgraded my ReadyNAS 104 to the latest FW version 6.1.7. I rebooted per instructions twice but it didn't install for whatever reason. Concurrently I had a bad disk in the unit and I took all 4 out and replaced them with new disks (figured it was a good time to upgrade storage) and when I powered the unit on it installed the FW and seemingly took me back to factory defaults. The unit is currently formatting the 4 new disks I put in the unit to RAID 5.
My question is what will happen if I put in the 4 original HDD's back in the unit? Will the unit recognize they're already configured or will it start to format them all over again and wipe the data? I need to copy the data off the RAID 5 config I had running on the unit.
Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

- StephenBGuru - Experienced UserPower down the NAS and re-install the original drives, then power it up. It should boot normally, with data and settings preserved.
If you know the original slots it is best to preserve the drive order when you reinstall. However it will boot normally if you didn't track that. - R_KellyAspirantWhew, that is what I was hoping would happen. I have each one marked and will put back in place. Thanks for the reassurance!
