HELP: HD movies stuttering when playing from ReadyNAS Pro ??
Hello, So sad, I am getting really frustrated. :? I purchased a new high performance HTPC with Windows7 (for running Media Center), PowerDVD10 and a ReadyNAS Pro to watch and archive my HD movie...

Had stuttering problem on my 64-bit Win7 with NV+. Fortunately for me my other XP machine sitting right next to the Win7 had no such problem, streaming 1080P HD video was perfectly smooth. I compared the Ethernet port settings of the two machine and noticed that the XP machine was using a receiver buffer size of 256 where as the Win7 was 512. I changed the receiver buffer size of the Win7 machine to 256 and, voila, no more stutter. Might be different for other people though.
Although the above fixed my problem I still think there is something no quite right with the ReadyNas CIF implementation. Even before changing the receiver buffer size of the Win7 machine it had no problem in streaming 1080P material from other network shares.
