Here is promised Symform support?

The SYMFORM article you found looks like it is for legacy x86 devices

SYMFORM no longer exists - it was acquired by Quantum in August 2014 (a year after the linked article was released).

There are some posts in their community forum saying it is still under development (https://community.symform.com/entries/7 ... Readynas-6 and https://community.symform.com/entries/7 ... ompatible-). These posts pre-date the acquisition (and in my experience being acquired definitely slows down the roadmap).

Only old devices..

Anyway - Symform works with all old Readynas devices - but not the new one.
Its true that they have been acquired.

So there is no sign of development then..?

I have no idea if there is still development going on at SYMFORM on this. I suggest you post your question in the SYMFORM community forum, and see what they say.

I saw the article you linked to before, and in fact it doesn't promise OS6 support.

The genie+ marketplace wasn't just for OS6 readynas, the vision was clearly to cover all netgear devices (routers, gateways and readynas at least). So the press release you cite doesn't actually doesn't promise SYMFORM support for OS6 (though it is easy to misread it to say that). But the community forum for SYMFORM suggests that SYMFORM was and perhaps still are working on it.
