Thanks. I need to check the firmware. but If I upgrade it to the latest can I use this new cloud software for readynas I spotted?
I'm asking about firmware to confirm your NAS model. A lot of v1 owners think they have a v2, because the labels are confusing. Duo v2s run 5.3.x firmware, Duo v1s run 4.1.x firmware.
There is a third-party OwnCloud add-on for both duo models at https://rnxtras.com/ (hosted by WhoCares_ ) There is a small charge. You'll need to make sure you choose the right download for your NAS.
Also, the duo v1 is an old (and by today's standards a slow) NAS. Performance with OwnCloud might not be very good.
ok thanks.. on the bottom it says RDN2000 v2 , but ok , I should plug it in and look into this software.

Unfortunately that's the confusing label.
You can also tell from the part number. If the part number ends in -100NAS then it's a v1. A -200NAS is a v2.
