good evening vandermerwe - no I haven't run vendor tools, quite honestly I don't know what hardware/software is involved, I've never had to use it. I just got in from the store with a new disk - the staff at the store are starting to look at me strangely. I hot-swapped it and am now at 4% complete with 4 hrs 23 min to go on resync. If this one doesn't work, I'm going to start suspecting slot/bay/port 2 on the Nas is damaged. Will update when resync either hangs for a third time or miraculously completes. I'm now enacting faith rather than hope :)
