How do I keep multiple backups?
I have a newer ReadyNAS 516 (running 6.2.4) and an older ReadyNAS Pro Business (running 4.2.27). I have backup jobs on the 516 that run daily, backing up to the older machine on the same network. ...
There is no good way to do that with frontview backups - they do not create incremental backup sets. So while you could create a backup job for each day of the week, you'd end up with 7x the storage.
However, if you upgraded to OS6 on the pro, then you could configure daily snapshots on the pro backup shares. That has a similar effect.
Thank you for the reply. When I click on button that asks to check for updates on the 516 it tells me that I'm running the latest version. What is OS6 and how do I upgrade to it? Does it cost anything?
