Hope that you've got it working now :)
Just a few tips & tricks from another newbie having trouble with deleting the sparsebundle:
a) Finding the sparsebundle is easier when logged into the NAS as admin :)
b) The NAS can be accessed both directly via IP and via the NAS' name
c) It is much faster to delete the sparsebundle from a windows pc! Here you must log in via the IP address eg 192.168.1.11 + admin/"password"
