how does this work?
Okay so i bought my RN 104 a while back and slapped 2 3tb wd reds in there in raid 0, now i would like to use it to back up my data in my computer. i started by going to the readynas admin page fo...
The source host would be the I.P. of the PC
The path would be from the network path (the NAS would only be able to access your PC using the network path not what you use locally on your PC)
So if you would connect from another PC using \\ip.address.of.pc\myshare\myfolderinshare
on the NAS you would enter:
source host: ip.address.of.pc
path: myshare/myfolderinshare
N.B. The ReadyNAS uses Linux so the / goes the other way to what you would use on your PC.
You are using RAID-0? Is this a single volume or two separate RAID-0 volumes (one on each disk)?
Note that if using a single RAID-0 volume across both disks if either disk fails all data is lost. If you have a separate volume for each disk if one disk fails only the data on that disk is lost.
