How To Get Control Of Directory in XP?

FWIW, when I brought up "Advanced", Share folder owner: was set to "B". Funny thing is that there is no user "B" defined. Tried changing it to "Admin" and the dialog did an autocomplete - as if it knew about the ID... but threw something like "Illegal ID" when I tried to save it.
Then I went to Security | User & Group Accounts to see what IDs were defined and chose one of them.... then it worked.
