How to give restricted access without a password prompt?

make sure the username/password is the same on both the nas and the client
then add/create the group that will have restricted access, then add that to the read only section in the shares permissions tab.
ie
user1 is in admingroup
user2 is in restrictedaccessgroup
share: secretstuff
default access = none
share access restrictions: admingroup = write access
restrictedgroup = read only
guest = disabled
if you have existing data in the share, you may need to go to the share advanced tab, click 'set ownership and permission..' then apply
then add/create the group that will have restricted access, then add that to the read only section in the shares permissions tab.
