How to locate TimeMachine backup ReadyNas

Hi

I have succesfully made a backup form my Mac (MacOS Mojave) to my ReadyNas 516 (firmware 6.9.5) using TimeMachine.

In Finder I can reach al the folders and data (mounted the share with admin credentials).

Howeever I can't find the TimeMachine data from my Mac.

Via the webinterface, logged on with the admin credentials, I also don't find a TimeMachine back-up.

Is this a hidden folder?

How can I make this data visible on my Mac and webinterface?

Thanks for the help!

    Welcome to the Community!

You may want to check this article on how to locate the Sparse bundle.

The Sparse bundle is hidden on the Web Interface and on Mac.If I'm right opening the Sparse bundle will mount it to your Mac. This article might help

      Hi Marc_V

      Thanks for your quick response.

I followed the steps mentioned in the link, but it did not realy help me.

When I used the direct weblink to the TimeMachine location, the page was empty.

There were no files avaible at the location via the webbrowser.

When I showed the hidden files on my Mac, using the command below in Terminal, I was aible to find the .timemachine folder on my ReadyNAS using Finder. I could see the folder with the name of my TimeMachine back-up, but there where no files avaible.

defaults write com.apple.finder AppleShowAllFiles TRUE;killall Finder

I enabled the SSH function and using an SSH Terminal, I logged on to the Ready NAS and I could navigate to the location where the TimeMachine back-up should be stored. In the Terminal I could see the sparsebundle file.

So the back-up is succesfull and stored on the ReadyNAS.

But I still can't reach it via Finder or the webbrowser.

      Regards

Its Should have been Hidden for a Purpose to avoid editing the sparse bundle .

I think you should be able to see the folder on \\NASIPAddress\Timemachine . Login with ReadyNas as username and password you created inititally for Timemachine backup . I think this should work .
