How to remove a HDD from a my ReadyNAS Duo V2

Hi, 

I am upgrading and reallocating some of the HDD in my PC and NAS (and yes I have back up all the data) and when removeing my WD30EFRX (WD Red 3TB) it wont initlize in my PC and says its media protected. is there any way to undo this?

    Did you abort a secure erase of the hard drive. Sounds like the disk is locked.

    It can be unlocked.

      yes i believe that is what happened
