    Not sure why you'd want ReadyDLNA in a small office.

     

    If you are a Windows shop you can turn off upnp and afp.  (You probably can do that even if you run Apple, since Apple has supported SMB for a long time).

     

    I don't think these will improve performance much, but it's good practice to turn off services you don't need.

     

     Services that have a bigger impact on performance:

     

    -Snapshots/bitrot protection can create performance problems if there are a lot of files being updated in the share.  

    -Antivirus will slow performance.

     

    BTW, if the Autodesk /adobe share is relatively small, you could install an SSD drive as its own volume, and put the share on it.  That would certainly speed up random access to files.
