Installation problem with ReadyNAS Duo v2
Hello,
I have problem with instalation of ReadyNAS Duo v2. I bought the HDD which is in Netgear compatibility list ( WD RED 3TB - WD30EFRX 3000GB WD Red™ 3.5" 5400 - 7200RPM Serial ATA III. 64MB cache IntelliPower).
I followed the instruction and installed the HDD into NAS. Then I plug in to LAN and power on the NAS. After one hour I tried to connect to the NAS with RAIDAR but it was not possible to detect the NAS. My router Linksys WRT54G is registering the ethernet cable from NAS (led is on) and also LED on ethernet switch on NAS is in on (amber). When i checked the DHCP client table, there was NO NAS in the DHCP client list (why?). Up to know i have not problem with my router to recognize the new devices (e.g. PS3 is working well from beginning)
I have W7 operating system. Also RESCAN did not help. However in the Software manual is written "If you have a diskless ReadyNAS storage system, you must first install and format at least one disk before you can use RAIDar or Dashboard." How I can know that instalation and formatting of HDD is finished?
After one hour nothing changed. No LED indication of HDD in NAS, only power LED is on. No possibility to detect the NAS by RAIDAR. When I tried to turn off the NAS it did not work (I pushed On/Off button twice). Then I had to off by remove the power cable.
Now I do not know what to do. No FAQ or some description how to move forward and how I know that system is installed and HDD was succesfully formated (without using RAIDAR)
Could you help me please?

- chirpaLuminaryTry booting it without a disk installed. Should show up in RAIDar saying 'no disks detected'.
- mikuAspirantThanks for hint, but I folowed it 2 min ago. The same result. NAS is not on DHCP clent list on router, Raidar did not find the NAS. Mayby I should wait 30 min and then check again?
- chirpaLuminaryIf No Disks Detected isnt even coming up, there may be firmware issues on the box. Best to contact Support to get them to work it out.
