4.2.23 is not on the update server yet. So when you check for a firmware update in Frontview it will tell you that 4.2.22 is the latest at the moment. - claykinAspirant

I was offered 4.2.23 for my NVX last week using update checker. It also sent me an email stating 4.2.23 was available. I chose to upgrade manually using .bin file.
So far, so good. - chirpaLuminaryThere are two update servers, the first being only referenced on older firmwares.
Around 4.2.16, a dedicated server was setup. It seems only half updated.

http://update.readynas.com/download/RAIDiator-x86/index (shows 4.2.22) - MrNoodleAspirantNice that there are still updates for older NAS-models, but the latest version kills iTunes Streaming Server. I can't access the configuration-page anymore of Firefly Media Server on x.x.x.x:3689 and it becomes unstable (as in not able to start/stop through the frontview Streaming Services panel) on the ReadyNas Ultra at least with add-on version 1.0.3. Had to revert to firmware 4.2.22 to get it to work again. Also when I was trying to figure out the logs I couldn't access the NAS anymore through a Terminal-window, that problem still exists after reverting to 4.2.22.

Same happens to me, but I have the latest firmware. That's the end point I wanted to achieve.
Ah, okay. Yeah, no problem extracting and installing the 4.2.23 manually here.
