"Invalid Certificate Error" messages in Windows 10
I'm having problems with "Invalid Certificate Error" messages in Windows 10. I see the suggestion that I should not use the HTTPS protocol. I would like to turn that off, but I can't figure out how t...

I don't normally use a browser, just filemanager. I treat the NAS as much as possible like a local drive. Just //NASname/pathname/filename to reach any file I want. I have shorcuts to my most frequently used folders and a well-organized folder structure.
FWIW, my default browser is Chrome. I may go to Edge someday, but not until it supports add-ins.

My ReadyNAS model number is RNDU4000, it is a plain ReadyNAS 4 Ultra, not a PRO. Is there still no way to disable the HTTPS protocol?

My pro is running 4.2.28-T6.
//NASname/pathname/filename doesn't give me a certificate error in windows 10 - it works the same as win 7. Edge (like Chrome) gives a certificate warning I need to click through, but works fine after that.
Are you seeing different behavior?

Yes, different behavior now. It worked like Windows 7 for about two weeks and then something changed a few days ago. I have no idea what it was that changed. But I'm having a heck of a time getting access to my data. And now I can't get Frontview to run. Raidar can see the NAS and the Browse button will let me get to all of my data. But the Setup button brings up a completely blank Frontview window. I've gone through the OS Restore process, rebooting the NAS via the built-in Boot Menu and that didn't fix it. I'm getting really frustrated at this point, so many things are going wrong I don't know what to tackle next.
I do know I'm going to take a day or so off to unwind while I do a front-panel backup of all of the critical data. Fortunately the data drive is organized with the critical data all in one share and there is a stored backup job for that share assigned to the front panel button.

I may have just found the answer to the original problem. The entry in the Trusted Sites list was made using the IP address instead of the NASname. I just added the NASname as a new entry and my FileManager shortcuts started to work.
I still have the Frontview problem, however.
