Awesome. Even though this is supposed to be a help forum you wouldn't give me the proper command to accomplish what I was asking, I guess you're one of those Linux/Unix gurus who doesn't want to help other people learn Unix commands, whatever.
Fortunately, I was finally able to drag it using finder and it copied over just fine.
You have to use AFP first of all. Secondly, you need to be patient. Finder takes about an hour "preparing to copy". Then when it starts copying it will start out really slow and say that it's going to take a day to copy for the first gig or so then after that it picks up speed and it actually only took an hour to copy the entire 60 gig library once it finally got cranking.
