iTunes Server – 'no items'

I've followed the instructions to enable iTunes Server on my ReadyNAS (upgraded to 6.10.3) and on a share containing music files (the usual iTunes kind, but the forum blocks those 3 letters for some reason).

I can switch to the NAS in macOS (10.15.6) iTunes, but it comes up with 'No items' and nothing appears. The share (SMB) is accessible through Finder both as a Guest and with a username/password.

I've reset the permissions on the share, with no result. Is there something I'm missing..?

    Welcome to the Community!

Have you tried toggling the itunes service on the system settings and also toggling the itunes on the share afterwards?

Yep, I've restarted both the NAS service and the service on the share itself, with restarts in between – no effect. Actually, that's not quite true. Now when I select the NAS in iTunes, it shows 'Loading NAS' for a moment and then flips immedialtely back to the local library.

Have you tried adding DNS server addresses manually on the NAS NIC setting as well?
