JBOD vs regular HDD vs RAID
i'm curious as the reliability of the JBOD setup compared to just having a HDD in my regular computer. is it the same chances of a disk failing or being rendered FUBAR? i only ask as when using RA...

just to be clear,
if i add a new disk, then it WILL be formatted and all data will be lost, right?
if i remove an existing disk and then re-insert it, NO formatting takes place, all data is ok, right?
does it matter if i move one existing disk to another bay, from 1 to 3, for example?
