LMS on latest ReadyNAS products?

LMS 7.9 is now happily running on the Wandboard. Just as an example, reading my root Music folder now takes between 2 and 4 seconds, whereas on the NV+'s processor it takes 15 to 37 seconds.
I spent two days trying to get the CIFS share on the NV+ mounted where the Wandboard running Arch Linux could see it, as you can see in the Logitech forum thread I linked to in my last post. The problem seems to be in Arch's implementation of CIFS. The Frenchman who pointed me to the solution said I ought to try mounting the share in NFS instead of CIFS. Is that possible on the NV+ with RAIDiator 4.1.14? Do you know where a(n old) newbie like myself would go to get help?
(To give you an example of how hard it can be for us "Windows power users", I tried to join an Arch Linux forum so I could ask about my mount problems, and instead of a CAPTCHA I had to answer this question:
What is the output of "date -u +%V$(uname)|sha256sum|sed 's/\W//g'"?(Required)
Needless to say I couldn't. Luckily I found a French Arch forum where the question was simply "Enter a basic Linux command". I joined and that's where I found my answer.)
