Logitech Media Server - Problem
I have been using the Logitech Media Server on a readynas Pro 6 for some time, and it works well. Current version is 7.7.3
But something went wrong, I think the last time I updated the firmware, but im not sure.
it still works, more or less, but some functions don't (like keeping time on the remote Logitech radios for example - the clocks are way off).
if you go into Server Settings, two pages - Player and Advanced - say 'webpage cannot be found'. So no way to even see those settings much less change them.
anyone else having this issue? should I just de/reinstall the player? or is this something else acting up?
thanks,
mark

- markg1AspirantI completely deinstalled the media server, then reinstalled
same issue - the two pages (player and advanced) say 'webpage cannot be found'
I suspect its the firmware update; can anyone confirm? - markg1AspirantUpdate:
I installed the media server to another, virgin, readynas 6 - same issue.
so something in the firmware update broke this. - fastfwdVirtuosoThere have been many, many updates to LMS since your version 7.7.3. I can't say that any of them will fix your problem, but it couldn't hurt to try.
The LMS changelog for 7.7.x is here: https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commits/public/7.7
And for 7.8.x it's here: https://github.com/Logitech/slimserver/commits/public/7.8
You can download the latest 7.7 (7.7.4) here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/index.php?ver=7.7
And you can get the latest 7.8 (7.8.1) here: http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightly/index.php?ver=7.8
I wouldn't bother with 7.7.4; people (including me) have been running 7.8 for years and it works just fine. Whichever version you choose, though, make sure you download the file labeled "NETGEAR ReadyNas Pro Installer Package (i386)". - markwollGuideWhat do the squeezeserver logs say. anything?
- markg1AspirantThanks for the tip!
I was using the latest version listed, but 7.8.1 fixed the problem!
