Logitech UE Music Library server software
The ReadyNAS has for a long time (and still does) come with a copy of what was the Slim Devices SlimServer software and is now the Logitech Media Server. This works with Squeezeboxes of all varieties including the Squeezebox Radio.
However Logitech have recently discontinued all the Squeezeboxes and rebranded the Squeezebox Radio as the Logitech UE Smart Radio. Existing Squeezebox Radios can be upgraded to the same firmware as the Smart Radio. The Smart Radio being that it is using different firmware also requires a different music server application to match. The existing Logitech Media Server is not compatible with the Smart Radio or an upgraded Squeezebox.
Before anyone rushes out to upgrade their Squeezebox Radio, at this early stage a lot of people feel it is not yet worth upgrading especially as downgrading is not officially supported. However for anyone buying a new UE Smart Radio obviously they will be wanting a solution.
While the UE Music Library server software is officially released for Mac and Windows it is not yet for the ReadyNAS. There is however a beta version available (hidden away) and it can be downloaded from the following page http://downloads.slimdevices.com/nightl ... p?ver=10.0 versions are available for all three varieties of ReadyNAS - Sparc, Intel, and Arm.
One of the major current limitations of the new software is that even for locally stored music it requires a live Internet link to function. This does not apply to the prior Squeezebox software.

- slapshot01jAspirantHi!
Out of curiosity, is there any way to add more than one music folder on the readynas? The OS/X solution for UEsmartradio has a way to do it. If not, is this the type of thing that will likely be added at some point?
Thanks!
