Have you tried logging in as admin (both via windows and the Web UI http://nas/shares)? If you have the network recycle bin feature enabled, you could also look there.
Also, log into https://nas/admin and look at the system log and health. Click on the SMART+ stats in health, and see if there are any issues with the drives.
