Case SOLVED. It really pays to scour through this forum and look for "gems". I did a search on Access Denied and after reading through them I found a suggestion to a fix for a question that wasn't exactly a match for my situation but the solution made a lot of sense. And it say: in FrontView, I went to the Share Listing and selected the share in question. Then go to the Advanced Options tab and checked the box for "Set ownership and permission for existing files and folders in this share to the above settings. This option is useful in cases where you are changing security levels and need to workaround file access problems." Click Apply. Rebooted the NAS. Opps... didn't seem to work. I restarted Win7 2x and I got everything back. Why 2x for Win7. Dunno. It just didn't work after the 1st one. Go figure.
But the great thing is that I got everything back. Thanks StephenB for putting up with all the guys who ask for assistance with their NAS... and then more. And the solution came from your previous post [http://www.readynas.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=73197]. Now I've got to inform Tech Support. Caio!
