Lost most of my data and I don't why or how to recover

Hello,

Been using the device for 4 years or so. This week, most of my data is gone. The folder and disk structure is there, but most of the content is not there. How can I solve this issue?

All help will be greatly appreciated. I have the logfile but system does not allow me to post it here.

The Sending Logs link in my sig indicates how to send the logs in.

It’s important not to let writes happen to the volume. So powering off the system and if you need to access data booting it to volume read-only mode would be advisable.

Does the volume usage shown in the logs reflect the data that should be there?

    Do you have a backup?

I don't see why the data is missing from a quick look at the logs, but then deleting data within a share wouldn't be logged anyway. I can see that your data volume is nearly empty when it was over 70% full not that long ago.

I can see that you are using multiple disks that have huge ATA error counts and a variety of different disk models.

The ST3000DM001 disk is known to have very high failure rates.

Your WD 2TB RED has a huge ATA error count.

It looks like you've been in contact with support before with this system.
