Low Free Space

Using a ReadyNAS 2100 v2 which I brought 2nd hand. It have 4x 1TB Western Digital RE4 drives installed.

Not long done the OS 6.9.5 update, I deleted the volumes and created a new one from scratch with all 4 drives and It's currently Resyncing the drives with about 1hrs to go, and it's Using RAID 5. But it shows only 2.71TB of free space. Is this right? Seems low..

4x1 TB RAID-5 gives you a 3 TB volume (one TB being used for the RAID parity blocks).  The NAS reports space in TiB (1024*1024*1024*1024 bytes), not TB (1000*1000*1000*1000 bytes).  3 TB is the same as ~2.7 TiB.  So the free space is correct.
