MacBook Yosimite backup to ReadyNAS 4.1.14 via Time Machine

Found the solution! For anyone else that stumbles across this thread, add the NAS as a server to Finder. nielsNL instructions here worked perfectly:
- Open Finder, From the menu choose Go - Connect to Server. Type in afp://<readynas>/ReadyNAS (substitute <readynas> with your ReadyNAS IP address).
- Login using username ReadyNAS and the chosen password, I also added the password to the keychain.
- You should now be able to see the ReadyNAS volume in Time Machine.
Thanks JennC. Unfortunately I get stuck at step 2 in the first article as the ReadyNAS does not appear as an available disk. Any other ideas?
