Malware?
RAIDar tells me a new version is available (6.2) but Norton flags both the download file and the downloaded file itself apparently have malware attached. The download file is listed as IXNdXfxu.exe.p...

It has just happened to me as well. Has anyone gotten a response from either Netgear or Norton?

I have reported this to engineering. It does sound like a false positive as StephenB mentioned.

Does that mean we just wait until the problem (if there is one) is fixed? This is obviously not an absolutely critical piece of software so I don't consider it a big deal not to install the latest version.

It's pretty clear that this would be a false positive, but then one would rather anti-malware software gave some false positives than didn't detect malware.

I do have a copy of 6.1 RAIDar - if you can't wait, then let me know and I'll post a link.
FWIW, it does prompt to upgrade to 6.2 when you launch it, so you'll need to be careful to dismiss that.
