Monthly Backup Option Please
I have a ReadyNAS Ultra 4 Plus at home with a couple USB drives. I have one that backs up nightly, and I'd like to have a backup monthly that works just like the existing daily/weekly options. Basically, when I backup my Pictures of my kids (also backup offsite), I'd like to have a nightly backup and one that happens once a month. This way, if a virus or massive corruption worked its way in, I'd have more than a week to notice it. Thoughts? Thanks!

- gwr1AspirantI really find it incredible that this hasn't been allowed for in the software. Without irregular (greater than weekly) backups or the scope to keep multiple historical backups the back up feature isn't much use. If files become corrupted you only have a maximum of one week to find out before the originals are lost for ever.
- ahpsi1Tutoryep.. One way I get around it (ugly method but functional) is only power my monthly backup NAS on once a month but have the job scheduled weekly. I see there is an /etc/cron.monthly you would think could be used for something like that but for some reason it's never been implemented.
