Most efficient way to move files between shares

Thanks you guys I installed SSh on my ReadyNAS as well as WinSCP. But unfortunately i am not able to accomplish my goal to copy files from one folder on ReadyNAS to another without having my laptop conneted to a network. There is only one window in WinSCP for remote disk, the second one is for local. And if I use the copy command on some folders, only local disks appear in copy window (or remote disks mapped as local). So am I doing something wrong? What I would like to do is to connect with my laptop to ReadyNAS NV+, enter commands to copy some files or folders from one place on ReadyNAS to another, then disconnect my laptop and let the process run entirely on ReadyNAS. Is that possible using SSH and ReadyNAS or some other way?
