moving data from legacy Ultra4+ to new RN526
I have a working Ultra4+, considering purchasing a new RN526 to replace the old machine. What's the easist way to move all my data from Ultra4+ to the new RN526? so it would retain all idential partitions and network settings. Essentially like to keep the move transparent to all users on the network.
You won't be able to retain settings. The new NAS is running a new OS, you'll have to configure it from scratch.
Then use rsync to transfer the data, and apply the permissions as desired.
