20-30 MB/s would be for a gigabit ethernet connection. For this you need to use Cat5e or newer ethernet cables. Also you need to use a gigabit router/switch. Does your wifi-extender only have 100Mbit ethernet ports. To get 20-30 MB/s speeds you'd want to get a cabler to professionally install ethernet cables around the house.
