The BitTorrent add-on hasn't been updated in a long time and is no longer included in the firmware and is no longer supported.

The v1 has a slow CPU and 256MB RAM. It's got limited resources. Try changing the settings.json to limit the resources Transmission will use up.
How would i do this? If the CPU is that slow maybe I am better off woth the DNS-320 which is 800mhz CPU

This is a standard message when an issue like this occurs. Sounds like one or more of your disks may have problems. Could you power down, remove disks (label order), hook up to SATA port in PC and check using vendor tools?[/quote]

I only have a laptop, like I said my WHS died and that was my only desktop PC. I onyl have the 1 hard drive in the NAS right now and it came from my WHS so nothing should be wrong with it. MY other hard drive that also came from the WHS (i had 2 x 2TB drives) is in a USB enclosure conencted to ym laptop to FTP the data to the hard drive in the NAS


All in all its looking like the Duo v1 is slow, especially if you said the CPU is slow. I'm thinking the DNS-320 might be better optuion at this point and its $100 cheaper
